It's time to make Stevenson/Berchelt. That's the fight to make at 130. If he can't get it, move to 135. He is big enough to be there and there are a lot of good fights at 135, Haney looks ripe for the plucking. Ultimately I would like to see Shakur vs. Tank.
Let's Talk Shakur Stevenson............

At the end of the day he has been put on ESPN numerous times and has been available to more people to watch him than on a premium showtime channel. But unfortunately for him his style just doesn’t attract people’s attention. That’s how boxing is. You can have all the talent in the world and be a blue chipper but if you don’t have an attractive style you won’t garner the people’s attention. That’s just how it is.Poorly Promoted! Awful Matchmaking! How in the HELL is a Olympic Silver Medal Winner and a True Blue Chip Amateur Prospect not bigger even as big as Teofimo, Tank, Ryan Garcia or Haney right now. It is like he is on the outside looking in and you would think out of all of them he has more exposure fighting on ESPN but yet all the talk instead is about Lopez, Tank, Garcia, Haney
Need to self promote more though! Boxers and their EGO, suck up your pride and EGO and go hang around the Paul Brothers and have them help you promote like Ryan Garcia lol
I think Top Rank has made him a priority when he came out of the Olympics. When he turned pro all his fights were made available for people to watch on regular basic cable ESPN. But his style doesn’t have the “IT” factor where people outside of hardcore boxing fans want to see him.
He’s an Incredible talent but it will take him way longer to garner the masses. His type of style won’t garner massive attention until later in his career where he is actually considered unbeatable. Unfortunately for him he will need
to stay undefeated for a VERY LONG LONG tong.Last edited by True-Boxing-Fan; 06-08-2021, 02:27 PM.Comment

That would be a unification bout though. Now, Valdez wasn't keen on fighting him at 126 so he may never fight him but the belt gives more credence to the match up.
If Stevenson doesn't get Valdez, then he's definitely in a tough position.Comment

How is that the fight to make at 130 when Berchelt got absolutely destroyed by Valdez? Or do you mean Stevenson vs Valdez is the fight to make?Comment

Yes, sorry, that was supposed to be Valdez. Berchelt should be moving to 135 himself. Not sure how much he has left in the tank though. He looked as though he lacked any stamina at all in the Valdez fight.Comment

ryan is a wannabe pretty boy with the teeny bopper/youtube/instagram fanbase....teo has the flair, the mouth and the loma fight which he talked his way into.....tank is rolling with the best manager in the game who is willing to invest and make things happen with the right connections to make him a household name......then theres plain old boring bob who refused to see floyd/haymons vision and told floyd to go chase his dreams on his own if he wanted....Poorly Promoted! Awful Matchmaking! How in the HELL is a Olympic Silver Medal Winner and a True Blue Chip Amateur Prospect not bigger even as big as Teofimo, Tank, Ryan Garcia or Haney right now. or theres the golovkin route...have your network hellbent on making you a star...feed you a bunch of c level fighters to stop and make sure the media never demands anything of you or asks the tough questions...but that usually only works for happy go lucky foreigners.....
shakur isnt really working with any of that....to me hes a peg below haney right now but not too far behind...they are def the least recognizable of all the guys you named...Comment

Berchelt didn't look great in his previous fight either, I think he is weight drained and definitely needs to move to 135.Comment
