I think he’s a tremendous talent but I’d very much like to see him face better opposition though. I wanna see Stevenson-Herring and then Stevenson-Valdez.

Honestly, if Arum has admitted he can't market or promote Crawford, IDK WTF he can do for Stevenson. I kinda naturally root against Steven on just cuz the style and skill lends itself to boring, one sided wins. With that being said, he looks incredibly difficult to beat at these weights. Nobody down there usually can combine the skill, size and style he has. Really hard to beat at 130 and below imo, though again, we haven't seen him tested yet. Regardless, I think he'll struggle to get real top 5 and 10 guys in with him until he gets to 135.

He has that boring, amateur style. I wish he'd dump Kay Koroma and get a pro style trainer.

Forecasting, he will need to leave top rank in the future to maximize his career.

He should have never turned down the Warrington fight. Even if he had to take a little less money than he wanted, he would have beaten Warrington fairly easy. Missed opportunity.
I agree. A short-term sacrifice can lead to a long-term gain if you make the most of the opportunity

Stevenson has done jack sh^t in his career to be calling any sort of shots. He needs to take advantage of every opportunity and then later down the line he can start calling some shots. He had two different offers for Warrington and didn't take either of them.

That's my fear that he won't get these big fights for a while. If he can get Herring, then he puts himself in position to get the Valdez fight. That's best case scenario.

I agree completely, and hopefully he will do what it takes to secure a fight with an elite opponent.

I have a hard time seeing Valdez ever fight him, bad stylistic matchup for him. There'd have to be a ton of money involved and I don't see that happening

Idk what the move is if Herring isn't next. Probably just another random guy with a pretty record full of guys who've never heard of.

That said it seems like Herring is going to be next & not unlike with Ryan, Boots & Haney recently we will get a chance to see what's up with Shakur for real.
