I think 4.99 is certainly fair but 9.99 isn't bad either. That's what we pay around here but I'm guessing if they are able to get AJ after his next fight, then they will increase the price point and sell it as getting AJ fights for much cheaper than usual.

I LOVE the Matchroom Media thing something, similar to what UFC does in which they produce and release their own content instead of waiting on ESPN to promote their events they do it themselves on all their platforms which all has a huge following

      Sucks for Sky!

That's what Queensberry Promotions is and they have a TV deal with BT Sport but it doesn't pay what Sky was paying Matchroom. Its possible that when their deal with BT is up Queensberry / MTK move to Sky and can be more competitive but I'm pretty sure that Matchroom's main fighters are on long term deals.

In regards to ppv , let’s wait and see. We will truly find out when Joshua fights next where is lands, I expect the deal with dazn includes at least his first fight as they will want him to draw subscribers. At what point will dazn increase subscription prices though - I imagine if Joshua fights soon they may do it after his first fight..
I believe Joshua has one more fight on his Sky deal. Very unlikely DAZN can match Sky PPV for UK revenue alone, Joshua might end up being Sky PPV in the UK and DAZN rest of the world.. Dillian Whyte also has a contract with Sky i believe,

Watched the Ifilm London interview with Hearn. All looks very promising, think this is great for boxing. Streaming services really suit me.

yeah i watched Eddie’s interview with ifl earlier. Outside of Joshua all uk matchroom events must be on dazn, so Dillian Whyte would only be on sky if they either hosted the event in another country Or came to a deal with dazn at that point. Or obviously if it wasn’t with matchroom.

also he said that dazn will not be raising the £1.99 price until after the 3 weeks of fight camp - so likely end of July. He also suggested the new price will be less than what people expect - I guess what do people expect? I previously expected £9.99 so maybe he means £4.99? But then again he could be thinking people expect it to be £20?

Looking forward to seeing how it pans out. The international cards can be quite spaced out at times, so it'll good to get more content to fill out the schedule.

Also looking forward to seeing the production. Hearn said he wanted a different feel/look from SKY, so I'm interested in seeing the commentary team.
