I wouldn't argue fighting 3 debuting guys is rare, but it's happened. And I mean how much worse are debuting guys over the career losers with 20 to 100 L's that plenty of guys fight 4 fights into their career?

Trolling and business side he's killing it, no argument there but I have no interesting in trolling, actual boxing side of things he really hasn't done ****, so I'll say it again, no he isn't doing pretty well for "No boxing background" when real fighters where national level champions at the same point.
Again most mfers don't do sh^t 4 fights into their boxing career. Show me the legend with 4 fights total? There ain't a guy like that.

And the reality is your in the minority who have no interest in the circus of boxing & the hype. Most of the people who support boxing the most give a fook about circus fights & hype. That's why more circus fights happen for the casuals as a lot of the hardcores brag about not spending a penny on a PPV.

Randomly I heard a quote today from Heather Hardy. "You get the ***** you deserve". I'd argue us fans get the boxing we deserve as well & that's why we get Floyd & T-Wood vs the Paul brothers instead of Errol vs Bud & Teo vs Tank. Boxing makes so lil sense outside the ring that it's easier to get guys from other spheres to give us circus entertainment in boxing than it is to get guys inside boxing to give us the best vs the best fights.

Well, we can say what we want to, but the Paul brothers are making that money. I do give them credit for respecting the sport, because they put in the training, which isn't easy although not that difficult when you're young and in your physical prime.

These former mma fighters, ah they really don't box well. Woodley would probably get beaten.

This ain't like Wilder, AJ or Loma trying to become a draw in pro boxing once upon a time. This is a guy with a draw already despite being on tap to fight his 4th pro opponent with a 0-0 record. If you are selling tickets & getting a crowd still fighting 0-0 guys why would you move up? And if he starts selling less tickets than maybe he'll need to push up the competition. And honestly all things considered I think he has moved up, in a weird ass way admittedly, since he started. He beat a fellow YT dork in fight one. He beat a pro athlete in fight two. He beat a pro combat sports competitor with no hands in fight three. And now in fight four he's fighting a pro combat sports competitor with hands lol.

And one pet peeve I definitely got with the Jake criticism is folks ignoring there have been a sh^t ton of boxers who's fought poor to pitiful competition 4 fights into their career & at Jake's current age. Jake's trajectory in the pro game isn't unlike guys who've been doing this 10 years already in some cases who've just turned pro. So I don't really see a problem with Jake's trajectory. Folks are just mad, jealous or envious about him getting so much attention for boxing while guys with far more talent & many more accomplishments don't get as much attention. Its fooked up for those guys so I get it, but it is what it is. Don't hate the player hate the game I'd argue. And the game of boxing is about selling hype & this fooking kid is good at it like him or not.
I agree with this. Some people are saying this would never happen in the 'good old day', if there was Youtube, Jake Paul, and money to be made in the 'good old days', it would have been. I have no idea how good Jake Paul is, but two things are clear, he has some kind of power, and he has stepped up in competition each fight. I'd have loved the Tommy Fury fight, but this is a good match-up.

bispbing has a glass eye. they're going after guys who have something lingering that most people will not notice or dismiss. woodley is damn near 40 years old. paul is being moved "properly" meaning that he is being put into fights that will teach him things but won't risk him losing. they want to fight floyd mayweather on pay per view for a ****load of money and they'll probably get it. jake paul trains a lot harder than his brother and can box a bit. he's improved greatly since he picked up the sport. he spars with very good fighters and he's in the gym faithfully by all accounts. power to him. he'd beat the bag out of most of you.

logan paul hardly trains. you can't see that then that is on you. he's the more athletic of the two brothers and he looks the part, but he cannot box. jake can box and he's got decent power.

So the 39 year old undersized wrestler wasnt Jake's first choice, he actually wanted the 42 year old undersized wrestler first. Shocker

Arent jake and logan wrestlers themselves? why dont they just fight these guys in the cage

Bisping was mostly a striker. Not a bad one either technically but he was pillow fisted and a bit chinny which held him back.

But yeah, Jake not fighting MMA fighters in MMA or boxers in boxing is pretty lame. I do think the end result of all this that Jake ends up fighting in the UFC though tbh.
