yeah it looked like a dive to me. linares turned up there with one thing on his mind- pick up one last pay day. no game plan, no real intention to win,the brief was to go the distance and make haney look good. the problem was the one time he somewhat loaded up on a shot he ended up damn near knocking haney out. that wasnt some ward/gatti style fight, linares had plenty left in the tank, hes done the distance many times. ultimately the money is more important at this stage in his career, hes got a few losses anyway not as if he was defending some 0. both guys went home happy and so did the promoters, a good night for everyone.

It was very strange for me to see Linares blow a legitimate chance to upset Haney. I don't know Linares temperament, I just know I would have been way more aggressive during the 11 & 12 rounds, I would've tried pushing Haney away, taking a step back and punching his body, tried to catch him coming in etc. I don't have a problem with Linares not being able to finish Haney, it's just weird how it look like he even tried.

Eddie Hearn is a con artist so I really wouldn't be surprised. All you have to do is look at Dillian Whyte's controversial wins and that will tell you all you need to know about that lying, cheating scumbag Hearn.

Porter is tough, determined, tries to win every second of a fight. He probably finds it hard to understand fighters who don't have that same dog in them. Not to say Linares is 'weak' at all, just that he doesn't have that mentality, especially at his age and with multiple stoppage losses. Porter will throw bombs vs anybody knowing his chin has always held up, Linares went for it in the past and got stopped. At this point of his career, he looks/waits for the perfect moment rather than forcing it. That skill and poise is why he dropped Loma and hurt Haney but it's also why he didn't come close to finishing either of them afterwards.

I agree!! Devin aint know where he was at in the 11, and liners didn't even try to put him down. so obvious! they were saying that Linares was in tremendous shape and was never hurt during the fight so idk why the lack of aggression the last two round!!

That's not a bad card. Because it's obcious Linares won round 10-12. I gave him 1 round before the 10th, but if a judge gave him another round, I have no problem with it, so 7-5 is not bad.. I didn't score the fight on paper, but it was easy to round Linares rounds before the 10th.

Where was this tough and determined try to win every second of a fight mindset with Brook and Ugas? Guess Porter was paid off.

If he was paid to take a dive that punch he landed on Devin in the 10th round should get him missing any day now & his body found in a ravine in 2 years. Mfers that pay you to take dives don't like no bs like that.

And Linares was doing what he did the whole fight in the 11th and 12th, which was he was trying to counter Haney or throw with him. Issue is Haney was not giving him anything.

Not only that the score cards fro that fight were horrible, Haney won like 9 rounds. Yet the cards were close as hell.

Good point. The scorecards made it look like they were trying to find a reason to give it to Linares. So if there was any fookery a foot it seems more along the lines of the judges. Linares got his ass beat for 3/4's of the fight so when he got his opportunity to do something I think he was kinda beat up to make much of it. Thats not to say I wasn't frustrated with his strategy in the last 2 rounds, but then again Devin was holding & grabbing so much I can see why Linares never got much going on.

Porter just said on the latest podcast that he spoke to Bill Haney on the phone, and Haney was pissed about Porter saying it was fixed. He told Porter, "I'm not doing your punk ass podcast."
