Mayweather's guaranteed disclosed paycheck was $100 million and McGregor's guaranteed disclosed paycheck was $30 million. However, the purse for the two fighters was expected to be substantially higher for each, with Mayweather reportedly earning $280 million from the fight and McGregor earning $130 million.

Yeah, YOU WOULD HAVE DONE THINGS DIFFERENTLY !!!!

Mayweather Paul has the same moneyline odds as Lopez Kambosos on the book I was just looking at...

I wonder about this sorta sh^t with these Floyd fights & idk if they do ruin ones legacy. Do they post-prime fights that go bad hurt it? Sure. I mean plenty of boxers have lost to guys they never woulda lost to in their best days & idk anyone who's legacy has been. The closest thing I've seen to a great getting their legacy ruined is Michael Spinks when he got KO'd in 91 seconds to Mike Tyson & I think he was still in his prime iirc.

I wouldn't even entertain that idea. You're judging Michael more harshly than Matthew Saad Mohammed or Dwight Muhammad Qawi (say) because he stepped up to H/w, fought & lost! Michael was an ATG at 175ibs but at H/W didn't have the physical beef to be competitive with the top men so had to mess them around running in & out range & giving them problems to solve. If Michael had stayed at 175 he probably would have made another 10 defences & been recognised as the greatest LHW of all time BUT he made a lot more gelt & a lot more prestige stepping up & fighting Larry Holmes.

                  Same ol same ol
The criticism he gets is definitely warranted, had he fought the best guys on his resume in their primes the criticism would be minimal.

What most people fail to realize is this is a PROFESSIONAL boxer. Froch was NO Mayweather. If keyboard boy gets a lucky hit off. HE’S FOOKED, not Mayweather.
