It was ****** to even strip him in the 1st place. He won it in July 2019. Didn’t fight the rest of the year, 2020 completely screwed everything over for a lot of big events. So then 2021 comes and they decide to strip him ?

If I was Pac I’d do what Canelo did to the wbc and tell them to shove that belt up their ass. Belts don’t even matter at this stage of pacs career. He’s held them all at some point or another. If he gave a sh$tt about belts he could drop to 140 & whoop Taylor’s ass in the UK

Haymon/PBC want Spence to have that 3rd strap, good PPV #s and a win over Pac so that they can dictate the hell outta negotiations for a Bud fight which seems more unlikely than ever. I guarantee you Pac won’t get a rematch clause for this fight. But if he were to some how pull off the crazy upset, you can bet your mothers ass Spence would get a an automatic 2nd chance

Read up about the WBC when they did the same to Roy Jones. He vacated then had a change of heart so after the WBC strip the champion to give belt back to RJJ. The guy who was stripped sued the WBC & won. He was awarded like 32 million & the WBC almost went bankrupt. Can’t recall all the details exactly but it was pretty shady. The WBC executives were long time Don King puppets. Read up about some of the stuff they did for King…

It will likely become the case similar to the situation a few years ago that the WBA has 2 Super Champions at the same time in the same division (IIRC at 130; forgot who those boxers are)... Or they will reactivate the WBA (Undisputed) belt which is also a Super Champion and will order the winner to fight Ugas, or order Ugas-James for the mandatory...

They stripped him for even considering a non-PBC opponent but now he gets reinstated. Can we just call it the Haymon belt? They don't even hide it, almost every division has at least one PBC interim WBA champ

He didn't get stripped for trying to fight a non pbc opponent to spewing this garbage.

When Manny got stripped he was trying to fight McGregor and then tried to fight Ryab Garcia in an exhibition bout.

but, because they are not definitive... because they do not mandate... and because they do not sanction... I view them like this...

when you are hiking, and you need to take a shlt... you look for the biggest leaf that you can find...

but no matter how good that leaf is... you can never find enough... they are never really effective... they never do a suitable job... so you always end up with shlt on your hands
