Devin Haney needs to fire his father

Devin Haney and his father are too emotional about what idiots say on social media.

Instead of winning 12-0 by boxing, both decided it was more appropriate to have a big **** contest to prove Devin Haney is a tough guy.

By doing so, Haney gave Linares his only path to victory. Shockingly (sarcasm) , the three division champion took that path and almost won.

Probably the dumbest strategy I’ve seen implemented by a world champion in recent memory.

Haney is a 22 year old kid and he’s going to get too emotional. The professional boxing trainer is supposed to prevent that from happening.

Instead, Bill Haney fed into the issue.

    He should be let go.

I love Bill, but you might be right. After tonight, I could definitely see Devin losing soon.

Ben should have taken over, but it's a hard sell when you're going against the kids dad.

He tried to please the crowd only to still get booed after the hugging.

social media is the only reason this guy is popular. it certainly isnt his resume or performances. its calling out people and pretending like they are ducking him even though he never ever sent them any offers to begin with and hasnt fought anyone. usually a bad combo for getting big fights

Lomachenko dropped the WBC belt rather than fight him. That certainly smells like a duck.

Not one of those guys have ever said Haney prevented the fight though, notice that. Fighters are quick to call a fighter a ducker when it's the other guys fault, yet none of these guys call Haney a ducker, because it's not his fault they have not fought. They just come up with dumb stuff like E Mail Champion and mental health issues.

I give him credit for going for the KO. He got caught and was hurt because of it, so what. He deservedly won. Now due to his subpar performance Teo is itching to fight him. He will finally get the opportunity to become a real world champion and not just an email champ.

Whatever you want to call it, it was not Haney fault the fight did not happen.
