He only hugged at the end when he was hurt.

Linares kind of embarrassed him at late rounds. What an old Lion

Linares almost KO'd him...had Haney hanging on for dear life. Haney has a weak chin...any of the top guys will KO him.

He was sharp as hell the 1st 4 rounds, razor sharp. And even though he wasn’t taking a lot of shots I thought it was pretty entertaining because of the amount of leather he was laying on Linares.

the problem I have with these guys like Haney, Stevenson, Mayweather (in the later half of his career) etc. is that they coast too much. You don’t have to go to “Rock ‘em sock’em” to be entertaining. You don’t even have to get hit. But put on a show. Put a beating on these guys that you’re completely outclassing instead of just “tap,tap-move, tap tap,-hold, tap tap- flashy combo with no bad intentions”. Doing just enough to win comfortably on points but not enough to make it an early night. Potshotting and scoring but not taking any kinda risk. Look at Canelo, he doesn’t get hit all that much but he puts on a show. He goes out there and tries to get his man outta there, and if he has to stand and **** he will.

I love the sweet science, I love crisp jabs and beautiful counter punching. But I also love guys to mix it up, Bite down, and fight hard.

Haneys a sharp fighter. He has world class skill but he just doesn’t have world class power. Some guys have it and some just don’t. I think he has the skills to beat most guys but I can definitely see him running into someone who’s gonna take everything he throws and just keep coming. He took Linaress’s punches well but it’s clear
he doesn’t like to get hit or let’s say isn’t used to it.

Bottom line is this. If he goes in there with someone even slightly better than Linares , he loses. Who cares about rounds won and lost ? Haney was on ***** street for 2 solid rounds. One solid, crisp , combination from someone that hits as hard as Linares and Haney is out of there. Linares is an old jr.ightweight. , and had Haney at his mercy . A Loma, Lopez , a Garcia , a Tank, doesn't let situations like that slip thru their fingers. Haney was lucky Linares couldn't pull the trigger again. That's all this fight was. Luck on Haney's part. Who gives a flying **** if he jabbed beautiful for 9 Rds? Haney will get knocked stiff by the big boys. He's there to be hit and he will get hit and he will get knocked out. Take that to the bank.

Haney gets knocked out by a younger more explosive fighter (top guys in the division)

Linares completely blew it by not going in for the kill when he had that window of opportunity cause Haney's legs weren't right for half a round.

Decent bout, Haney showed toughness and a new aggressive side to him, but it's obvious, as much as he was laying into those shots, he couldn't overwhelm Linares.
Man Linares had plenty of shots there y he didn’t take them I don’t know

Linares would have finished him if the bell didn't ring when he got wobbled.
