Where is Linares at? I know a lot can happen in a short time especially in boxing but this guy went from being so hyped because he fought Loma and gave a good account of himself.
Me personally, I'll be damn honest with you I wasn't impressed. I thought when he let his hands go Loma struggled a little with his handspeed but I didn't really see any adjustments I thought Loma made him look one-dimensional. I also thought he quit at the first sign of adversity.
I don't think he was badly hurt more he was overwhelmed and had no plan B. Loma was going through the gears and he couldn't hang, didn't attempt to go out on his shield.
He was talked up hugely after that fight, everyone seemed to forget about his losses.
Then he moved up and fought a naturally much bigger guy who can dig a bit, to me it didn't look like the size difference was a factor really. Cano just seemed to know Linares style inside out and took advantage of every single opening. I thought it was a great performance
He's beat two bums since but seems to be completely written off at the weekend.
Haney is apparently a bit feather-fisted so if he can't get Linares out, do you not give him (Linares) a good chance?
Seems a no win situation for Haney.
If he knocks him out early - its been done many times before.
If he wins a decision people will label him feather-fisted, boring etc
Would he get more credit if he outboxes him then stops him?
