This.
Excessive holding ala what Hopkins did versus Calzaghe is a stalling tactic. Of course that can be considered "good defense." Hopkins had to prevent a fight from happening, lol.
RJJ would UD Bernard Hopkins.Comment

Hopkins cheats thats why, dude should become a street-fighter if he rather clinch all night long. Clinching excessively is not a part of boxing, fighters have been deducted points for that kind of behavior in the ring and some even dq'd. That one fighter who fought Marquez was dq'd for excessively clinching.Comment

Roys rope a dope isnt going to work on Bernard... Roy doesnt have the legs to outbox Bernard at this stage.. he STILL spend 70% of the time on the ropes.. and Bernard isnt going to get ****** into Roys fight... Bernard would dictate everything in the ring at this time.
B hop doesnt have hands speed or punching combo's like RJJ....
nothing he does in the ring would bother RJJ, like Glen Johnson is a pressure fighter....RJJ doesnt like pressure...but B hop wouldnt pressure him....B Hop doesnt have a sneaky left from the southpaw stance like Tarver....
Roy would outsmart him and out strength him and outspeed him
u talk as if B hop has ever been a dominant versatile fighter....
the dude has made a legacy on beating smaller fighters he forced to come up...
RJJ is not a WW or a JMWLast edited by Jiddu Dali; 09-01-2009, 03:21 PM.Comment

What do you think B Hop would do vs RJJ?...
B hop isnt gonna hold, and grab the bigger RJJ...RJJ has been fighting bigger fighters his entire career....B Hops ugly tactics would get exposed vs RJJ
his 1 right hand at a time wouldnt be effective...in the middle of the ring..u think B hop is gonna outpoint or out muscle RJJ?...
come on
People act like Jones beat the crap out of hopkins. No, it was an extremely boring fight but Jones was more active of the two and clearly the more experienced of the two at the time. Go back and watch the later rounds if you forgot, hopkins was landing some good right hands in the later part of the fight.Comment
