In the arbitration judgement seen on social media, Top rank HAD the rights to terminate the contract once Team Wilder didn’t respond to their correspondence.

If he did it was a smart business move by Arum.
Eddie Hearn was hyping up Fury / Joshua the whole time giving Fury some Free promotion.
Having beat him already. Fighting Wilder is High reward / low risk in their eyes.
Get him out the way and the AJ fight will still be there ( as long as AJ wins ).
Hearn thought he'd get Fury coming off a long lay off.
      Arum straight played him.

I think it was arrogance more than ignorance on Bob's part. I think he truly believed he could grease enough palms to get past the arbitration.

Maybe. I don't know, none of us know.

It means either Hearn is a liar or a gullible idiot.

For me I consider it the same as buying a house from someone whose in, say, a legal dispute about inheritance along with their siblings about ownership of said property. I would be ****ing ****** to start buying furniture and taking out home insurance whilst ignoring the fact that there is a strong possibility the civil ruling may not go in my favour. I remember saying here that just because Arum is a Harvard educated lawyer, doesn't make him honest. Some dumbass here, I think REDEEMER, tried to argue that said su****ion was completely wrong.

Yes, Top Rank exercised that right in October, claiming the contract had expired, but Wilder disputed that claim and exercised the binding arbitration clause in November.

            The arbitrator agreed with Wilder.

More than likely inside talks they knew that the ruling might go one way and the other. To sign a fight and spend all the money promoting it especially one that big is not a good business decision if the ruling goes the other way. Bob has been involved in many lawsuits and court proceedings so he my have known and Eddie didn't listen.

Been looking for this since Hearn raised the issue of the failure to terminate. And since Warren waffled when asked about it.

Why does it make Fury look good though? To the casual eye - aka the bulk of customers - it looks like Fury ducked and it makes Arum look difficult to deal with.
If anything, it makes it look like the other top HW's don't want to fight AJ. Its only us, on here, who argue about that.

Hearn promotes Joshua. Joshua wants undisputed so Hearn was proceeding because Arum, Fury and Warren were saying that Wilder 3 was NOT going to happen.

Its a million percent up to Arum, Fury and Warren to tell Hearn not to make the fight if they had any su****ion that they would lose the arbitration, they shouldn't have been going along with making undisputed and then announcing it! So all this talk that Hearn was jumping the gun is BS. In a partnership, you should trust that the other party is delivering their bit. Hearn delivered but Arum, Fury and Warren totally ****ed it.

I actually went back on tweeter to see if i can up the link here, can't find it again. Did Hearn mention that as well? Would be searching again for it after work, unless they have deleted it.

I never said this situation made Fury look good.
I said it was a smart Business move by Arum.
And obviously Arum is looking for His ( Arum's ) best interest.
We'll disagree about Hearn jumping the gun and hyping the fight.
But I remember reading articles where Arum was telling Hearn that " Nothing was signed yet so stop taking about the fight ".
