By “dangerous” Ellerbe means the danger in Davis breaking one of his hands on the wide-open jaw of No defense B-level Barrios!! Thats the only “danger” in this cherry-pick ppv mismatch!

A quick question, mentions reasonable fight for tank, a fight in which he won't be the favourite?

What's dangerous about Barrios? He's tall. That's the biggest advantage Barrios has over Tank. What else is there to contend with? I think Tank is gonna destroy this dude's body & KO him. Might even get one of those sexy body shot KO highlights.

Lopez, Loma, Haney...even GRJ...risky, dangerous fights ...50/50 ..60/40 intriguing fights that fans actually want to see. Really dont matter who is favorite, fight could go either way bc skill level is about even..unlike the mismatches Davis has been fighting. Gotta be willing to risk that 0 at some point.

This is the big one, this is the one we all been hoping and waiting for. We were all worried that he may face one of the top dogs at 135 like he threatened to, but who would want that when you can have Tank v Maresh bushish or what ever his name is.

Nobody is listening to your bollocks Mr Ellerbe. It’s a crap fight.

There some risk sure - but to mitigate that, they have clearly chosen someone who will play into Tank's style. That's why people are complaining - aside from the fact nobody called for the fight - there are fights that get made that I wasn't asking for that I can find intriguing....I don't mind surprises....but here I think people are looking at Barrios, his style, stature and controversial win he got and wondering if this was lined up the whole time. Hard to put the blinders on for this fight. Barrios gets to leaning and lurching over, he's not going to be tall.

Tank is exciting though - I don't have an issue trying to make him a face on PPV, he's going for the KO, he's hittable, there's a trainwreck element...it's usually a good watch. I'll probably be buying Tank PPVs in the future but not this one

Ellerbe knows better than that. There are way more dangerous fights for him at 135. This victory (If and when he wins) looks good on a resume, Like Mayweather he's manufacturing a career.

The madness of it is Tank takes on a reasonable threat at a higher weight and somehow he's still cherry picking. You cant make this stuff up. THIS IS A DANGEROUS FIGHT AT A HIGHER WEIGHT CLASS PEOPLE! Get over it the little dude is taking risks plain and simple.
I think it's a decent fight to take as his first fight at 140. Barrios is a solid operator.
But honestly, Gamboa is old and washed and Leo is small at 130 and was a tailor made opponent with a name for davis.

It doesnt always have to be about taking sides. His opposition just wasnt really good since Pedraza, but the Barrios fight is decent, not great, but decent.
