Nothing you say makes any rational sense whatsoever. Your argument has no logic behind it at all. You keep ignoring the fact that Pac is a smaller fighter than Floyd.

We're talking about a fighter, Pacquiao, who tore through eight weight divisions, from flyweight to middleweight. That would be the equivalent of Floyd going all the way up to light heavyweight and dominating that division. If Floyd tried to pull a stunt like that, he'd get KO'd by any decent light heavyweight (hence why he only fought a YouTuber at that weight).

If you think size don't matter, then Floyd might as well just go fight Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury. Floyd would get killed if he tried to take them on. When people claim Floyd or Pac are the best/greatest, they're talking pound-for-pound, i.e. taking their weight into account. You can't be talking about P4P best and ignore the weight, when that's the whole point of P4P.

Floyd would never be able to dominate larger fighters than himself, the way Pac has consistently dominated larger fighters than himself. Floyd beating smaller fighters is not as impressive as Pac beating larger fighters.

If we are talking P4P, then Pac has a stronger case than Floyd, as explained by Max Kellerman. You can't just look at who beat who, but what matters is who beat who at what weight class. That's the whole point of P4P.

Floyd would dominate every fighter Manny did under the very same conditions, that's Cotto 14lbs lighter, Oscar 20lbs lighter and dead man walking, that's what Manny dominated, I believe both versions of Oscar and Cotto that Floyd beat would beat Manny, that's the reason Manny refused point-blank across two weight classes to fight Cotto without a CW. Manny didn't dominate and KO anybody that was not CWed .

Where did I say size don't matter, in boxing as in any one on one fight it matters greatly, where it doesn't matter is what you where in another time, it only matters on the night of the fight what you are, if you grow into a bigger fighter you are no longer the smaller fighter so to compare size across different times don't really mean anything.

Floyd and Manny are entirely different beings, different speed power ratios, they met head to head and Manny couldn't do anything with him and lost too a Floyd in cruise control, doesn't mean they are both not great, just means one was better when it mattered most.

I agree. I mean I had some fun with it here and made/participated in some jokes but in reality I know it doesn't affect his legacy. The guy is 44, been retired for a while and this was just an exhibition with no real stakes at play.

Yeah it's certainly a possibility. As a Manny fan I'm hoping he can reach down as deep as he ever has and find a way to be special on that night in August, and if not (pull it off I mean), at least make Spence really earn it. Yes it would be hard as a fan for myself to see him get badly beaten. But...this is boxing, and Manny knows what he signed up for. As they say Father Time is unbeaten, and fighting in the same night Father Time and Errol Spence, who is an absolute wrecking ball of a boxer, is a Himalayan mountain of a task.

I like Errol a lot so it wouldn't be the end of the world to see Manny pass him the torch, but like I said, if Manny's to lose that night...I want Errol to have to really, really earn it to get that torch.

I know you & I made a pact not to argue this, but I just wanted to respond here. The part about Pacquiao fans not going into detail about defending his career. First of all, his career speaks for itself. There's really no need to even need to defend it. Virtually all boxing experts, historians and actual boxers have him as a living legend, first ballot hall of famer and certified all-time great.

Anyway here's why I personally don't go into detail when defending his career from Pacquiao's detractors. It's simply because it's a waste of time. Arguing boxing is like arguing politics. When the other side is dug into their beliefs, right or wrong, no matter what you say it won't change how they feel. So what's the point. There's nothing I could say that would sway you. So I'm not going to waste the effort and trying to do so. That would be futile.

You have your opinion on him, and I have mine and we'll just leave it at that. Agree to disagree.
