Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: Taylor's Talking About Moving Up To 147, Which I Figured; They All Scared!

LAS VEGAS - Teofimo Lopez definitely doesn't expect Josh Taylor to fight him next. In fact, the undefeated, unified lightweight champion claimed Tuesday that he feels Taylor will move up from the 140-pound division to 147, in part to avoid opposing Lopez. The 23-year-old Lopez spoke about boxing Taylor, the fully unified junior welterweight champion, to a group of reporters prior to his open workout at City Athletic Boxing Club.

I hope for his sake, he is what he thinks he is, because if Lopez catches a loss anytime soon, he might experience some serious mental problems.
Floyd was arrogant for sure, but it was a confident arrogance - even a bit endearing...Lopez’s arrogance is just straight up off-putting. I’ll watch every one of his fights ‘cus he’s a great boxer, but I doubt I’ll ever again be rooting for him to win.

I’m not sure who I’d be rooting for in this match...they’re both equally horrid people.

Nah mate! You don't want none of Taylor. He fucks you up! I'll deal with Devin Haney first.

lopez needs to stay in his lane for now....why the hell would taylor need to fight him when he's not even in the same weightclass?....do something at 140 first then talk!.....and taylor does not need to wait for him obviously!

I watch this guy fight and I'm always impressed, I hear this guy talk and it's always so damn ridiculous. Him and his dad are like two super Angel Garcias spouting repellent nonsense every interview. Josh Taylor would have hospitalized Lomachenko.

I don’t think there is anyone who believes Taylor could beat p4p #2 especially after that life or death battle with Ramirez.

..I think guys heard the talk and decided to skip the drama for now. You can freeze yourself out saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.. For a while, no one seemed good enough for him and that's before we even got to the money.

He needs to slow down, just managing the impact of his fame and money on familly and friends will hurt more than any punch. Bottom line, do your marketing but, be smart and strategic.

I don't think Taylor is scared of Lopez.
Taylor should move up and fight Crawford.
