A huge part of it is because a couple years ago, GSP Came back and fought Micheal Bisping for the Middleweight title, but a huge part of that agreement was that the winner had to fight Robert Whittaker, of course GSP won and then left, but at that time, Dana made a huge deal about how he trapped George and he knew GSP wanted a one and done so Whyte made sure he put terms around that Whittaker agreement , to where if George wanted to fight again in any competition, he must fight rob before going ahead with other fights, I believe Dana practically uses slave contracts. GSP should of knew better tbh, Another of Dana favourite tricks, is too sign a guy on a 4 fight contract but knows he only intends on giving them 2 and then leaving em on the shelve. UFC is one murky sport man, paying guys peanuts. It’s disgusting!

I feel bad for GSP on a personal level but at the same time of course Dana isnt going to do anything to help Oscar of all people line his pockets. And unless theres directly money in it for him he isnt going to be keen on a competing sport cynically using MMA fighters for mainstream attention and clout either.
Would you think boxing was getting exposed if half of the biggest UFC PPVs these days were main evented by ex-boxers getting tapped out in the first round?Comment
