Indeed it does work both ways.

I'm just pointing out that both of them are stubborn here.

Hopkins should've accepted the 40% 8 years ago because Roy was the star and already had a victory over him.

No 2 ways about it.

But now Roy is the one who needs to accept 40% to make it happen because Hopkins is more highly regarded, he's P4P#3, and he's 3-1 against Tarver, Wright, Calzaghe, and Pavlik ; elite fighters, not B and C level guys like Sheika and Lacy.
