Roy Jones Jr Vs. Bernard Hopkins

Bernard Hopkins hasn't fought since he beat Kelly Pavlik, and is looking for an opponent. Most boxing experts say he will either face Chad Dawson or Adamek. I think Bernard Hopkins against either Dawson or Adamek would be interesting, and great from a fan's perspective; but I'll tell you, I would really like to see Bernard Hopkins swallow his pride and face Roy Jones Jr.

Roy Jones Jr. isn't what he used to be, but isn't shot either; he still possesses speed and decent power. And since reformatting his boxing stance/style, and implementing basic boxing fundamentals into his game, he's a different Roy Jones Jr.

Jones has recently went on record and publicly stated he would be interested in facing Bernard Hopkins. This is a fight most boxing fans would like to see, and I feel Hopkins would garner more interest from the boxing world were he to sign a contract to face Roy Jones Jr. than he would taking on Dawson or Adamek.

Roy Jones Jr. Vs. Bernard Hopkins; repeat or revenge. After all these years, it has a certain ring to it.

I think Roy would beat Hopkins, even today.

I'd rather Hopkins wait to fight the Dawson-Johnson II winner if that is his current plan. Jones does not have the legs anymore to keep Hopkins from clinching and mugging his way to a decision or late KO.

You are right Jones doesn't have the legs that he used to have, but his stamina is better than Hopkin's. It would also depend on who the ref is. If it's Cortez, then yes, Bernard wins.

60/40 in bhop's favor and the fight can be made. it's RJJ that has to swallow pride.

RJJ is shot. beating up Lacy is meaningless.

Jones has recently went on record and publicly stated he would be interested in facing Bernard Hopkins. This is a fight most boxing fans would like to see, and I feel Hopkins would garner more interest from the boxing world were he to sign a contract to face Roy Jones Jr. than he would taking on Dawson or Adamek.
there's nothing for bhop to gain from beating up a shot RJJ unless bhop is getting 60% of the purse.

Roy Jones Jr. Vs. Bernard Hopkins; repeat or revenge. After all these years, it has a certain ring to it.
yes it does, but RJJ has to give into 40/60.

I think Roy would beat Hopkins, even today.
          wow... just wow.

I would've liked to see Roy swallow his pride 8 years ago and fight Bernard then ; when Hopkins had earned it and was in his prime.

As it stands ; 60/40 Hopkins kicks Roy's ass.

hopkins according to his haters...and even that win on hopkins carries the excuse from hopkins lovers that hopkins was green....

now tell me the last lightheavyweight that had some talent hopkins beat...natural lightheavy...not one of those catchweight fights where the opponent had to move up two divisions and put quarters in his drawers to make weight...
