Eddie Hearn says AJ may vacate WBO and not fight Usyk

He’s saying on IFL that AJ may vacate the WBO belt for ‘business reasons’. And he’s looking at other opponents.

I thought the whole plan was to become UNDISPUTED. Why would you drop a belt just cause you might get a little bit more money fighting someone else.

WBO is losing popularity throughout the industry. They're not consistent with who they threaten for mandatories, their championship fights almost always end in controversy, etc.

Hopefully it's the start of a boycott, lead by the heavyweights. I doubt it, but that would be nice.

the "business reasons" are that AJ's marketability will decline after Usyk beats him

Why wouldn't you take on Usyk to make the Fury vs AJ even bigger, if/when Fury beats Wilder and if/when AJ beats Usyk.

Urgh. AJ/Usyk is the best fight AJ could have while Fury/Wilder is happening.

                    So who will he fight?

                    Fury fights Wilder.

I doubt Joshua has any better choice than Usyk.
