Takedowns are usually extremely quick and your balance is compromised immediately once they've got hold of you, the opponent isnt just there stationery to be hit and you probably wont be in a position to throw punch.

Most of these theoretical anti-MMA/wrestling kryptonite techniques would actually favour the wrestler anyway. Imagine a grappler having top control and being able to headbutt, bite, eye gouge, knee to the head etc (in the case of headbutts and knees we've already seen it in the 90s), or taking the back and being able to just hit someone in the back of the head.
Yes the wrestler has the advantage when they take you down. I'm just saying it's easier for them to do that when you aren't allowed to do everything to prevent them. The rules favour the wrestler.

The best way to prevent them, by far, is to have actual takedown defence. There is no reliable workaround to that. Pride even allowed kicks/knees to the head of a grounded opponent which theoretically should have made takedowns more dangerous, but it didnt change much. Lots of 90s NHB events had very few rules, again, it didnt really change anything. Royce, Coleman, Kerr, Severn etc kicked ass in that environment.

Interesting! You always have to come back to the axiom that we fight how we are trained to fight, we utilize technique based on what conditions dictate. I do find it fantastic that goodlooking women can potentially take someone's head off. UFC striking has developed as a secondary consideration to being positioned for a grappling advantage. When I was training guys I well remember the situation exposing the waist when striking... if you commit on your shot your weight is forward and you can't sprawl.

The punching technique is subsequently just different. My own opinion based on my experiences in the ring and training others is that MMA fighters really should develop the kicks foremost. Kicks done properly can create a real distance, and can be thrown very hard and fast... at every distance. Kicks also neutralize a puncher really well. If I snap a kick to the groin area, or stomach (for sport) everytime opponent jabs, I will get there first because of reach... assuming the kick is done properly.

The best way for people to understand these things is to get with a friend and try them. Thats what training is about... You get on the mat and see for yourself. One will very quickly learn that when a takedown is attempted the natural defense is to sprawl.

All rules are going to favour wrestling because its simply easier for someone to close distance and grab you than it is for you to force them to stand and strike. And if you DO force them to stand its either because of your own defensive wrestling or because your ground game makes them not want to go there with you.
Robbie is the exception... as his legs are off the ground, flailing he will magically stop Time/Space, get his weight over his shoulder and deliver a spine cracking elbow... The rest of us have to contend with physics.

Obviously this isn’t true. Males hit harder than females, it’s just nature, we built different

Training is a great equalizer. First, lets talk kicking. Women have leg and hip strength that is closer to men... Meaning that the power gap narrows for a devistating kick. Generally speaking men have advantages but training makes up for a good deal of that advantage. In either case raw strength is actually minimized through training... We were built to generate the most strength hitting down on a target. Watch apes fight for an example... But when we hit straight we sacrifice some of that strength for speed and the ability to strategize our blows. The gap goes up again when we take and compare men and women who are trained similarly at the same weight. But a woman who knows how to punch professionally will carry a sizable advantage in a punch out against a man with no training, trying to punch back.

Finger up the bum, or strike to the spine as Mayorga showed with knee’s, there was another guy that got dq’d when he elbowed a guys spine too. Can’t punch the back of the head neither right?

                      Nah, i'm not having it.

If you put that woman in a ring with any of the male UFC fighters, she is going down in a heap.

I'm not into this whole mma vs boxing nonsense. It's ****** but the best female boxer in the world would get put tf to sleep by Chris Algieri if he was throwing with intention to knock her block off, ffs.
