Taylor should have took him out but couldn't. LOL! When you cross the pond don't expect to get a home town call at least not in Vegas. You won rightly so. It won't get any easier so get on your bicycle and do your road work. Think twice about moving up to 147................................Just saying.Comment

Taylor was taking too much punishment under McGuigan, giving away his height and range, not fully utilising the defensive skills and footwork he demonstrated against Ramirez. Great for the fans, I guess, but not for the long term career of a fighter like Taylor, who has a great chin, put seems to cut and bruise too easily to be fighting like that against elite opposition. Facial damage almost cost him the win against Prograis. After the 8th round he took his foot off the gas and fought how he did in rounds 2-5, trying to clip him here and there.
should have put his foot down and finish the job like he would have done previously. This is boxercise Ben’s influence as Shane McGuigan is a lot more aggressive
Davison's "hit and not get hit" approach suits him a lot better. But Ben needs to realise that you can't trust the judges in the US. From the 6th onwards, Taylor clearly won every round except the 11th. I would have liked to see him seal his win by going after Ramirez more in the 12th, but it wasn't really necessary. The scorecards were ****ing disgraceful.Comment

Landing more punches doesn't necessarily mean that particular fighter won the round. Ramirez clearly landed the better shots in the 12th round and had Taylor holding on and trying to just kill the clock.
As I stated, the 5th round was a true toss up round. Taylor landed more but Ramirez buzzed him late in the round. 4th round was very close as well and I know many who scored it for Ramirez, but I scored it for Taylor.
I don't think my scorecard is anything crazy. Most people had it 7-5 or 6-6 in terms of rounds.Comment

I thought they both won 6, with some close rounds. It was a well scored fight. Taylor doesn't seem like the most likeable chap around.114-112 was the right score. Ramirez won seven rounds. Taylor won five. The rounds Taylor won were 1, 4, 6, 7, 8. Ramirez clearly swept the final four rounds. Taylor is yammering endlessly about nothing. He's an incredibly insufferable dude. I pray Bob feeds him to Crawford next.Comment

I had the same score as the judges....Agreed about Ramirez, he will get slaughtered above JW...With a little more sustained attack, I think Taylor would have gotten him out of there. You guys clearly gave Ramirez every close rd. Scoring us subjective though. I had Taylor 8-4 or 7-5 so I had it 116-110 or 115-111. Taylor let up but Ramirez wasn't really doing more or landing more even when he let up.
I bet the punches were pretty even in most rds. The right man and better fighter won is all I care about. Neither will be a top dog at 147 but Taylor has a chance.. Ramirez defensive is just horrible and will get him Ko'd at 147.Comment

These guys are blatantly displaying their bias. Taylor won this fight fair and was/is the better fighter.Comment
