Fights that we wanted in the last 2 years but never happened

Just wanted a way to document all the good fights we've all wanted to see in the past, let's say 2 year period, that haven't been made.

I love boxing but this sport is a fu.cking mess to be honest and things need to change

Combinations of Loma, Haney, Teo, Tank, and Garcia. We've had 1!!!! of those matchups even though we know who the top 5 guys are, for the past 2 years.

Spence, Crawford, Thurman, Pac. 1 fight among all those top 4 guys.

    GGG, Charlo, Andrade. 0 fights.

    GGG-Canelo 3.

    AJ-Fury

    Usyk vs any top HW

    Gassiev vs anyone

Canelo at 175 vs Artur or Bivol

    Canelo, Plant, Benevidez. 0 fights

This sport is a fu.cking joke sometimes

Just saw some video about the UFC 205 fights as well. On that card:

    McGregor-Alvarez
    Woodley-Thompson
2 top women fighting (who cares, but still)
    Romero-Weidman
    2 women (who cares)

    Then on the UNDERCARD

    Edgar-Stephens
    Khabib- Michael Johnson
    Luque-Belal Muhammad

    ---

The undercard had 3 fights that would have been better, like for like, talent and fight-wise than almost any card boxing puts out these days. The main card had 3 incredible fights and matchups. UFC stuff is too much for me but man boxing really looks like sh.it in comparison sometimes.

yep, so many matchups. We would let these guys do 1 tough, 1 easy fight probably too and be OK with it. But they just go like all easy fights. It's fu.cking ridiculous

McGregor vs Alvarez was the biggest one-sided mismatch imaginable.
Woodley vs Thompson was boring as ****!

The thing is people make these comparisons and its like they're telling you how great a certain UFC card was but most of the time it involves something like umpteen 20 second K.Os, a boring fight where a wrestler will be happy to simply restrain the other, a fight with two slobs blowing out their ass during the first round followed by like a round & a half of sheer domination.

Boxing has similar all the time it'd be like some prospects icing a total bum, Devon Alexander clinching and running his way to a decision, two morbidly obese HWs and then something like Danny Garcia vs Rod Salka only the difference is boxing fans would call it for what it is. An absolute disgrace to the sport.

          The standards are completely different

I do watch the UFC just saying the standards are so different.

A lot of the time I see cards full of blowouts in the UFC, people will claim it was an amazing card but I am just sat feeling like I've just watched a load of complete mismatches.

McGregor Alvarez was a guy, the biggest superstar in their sport, moving up a weight class and winning the belt in dominant fashion, KOing the champion. It would be like Canelo moving up and fighting a real champ at 168 and KOing him in a perfect performance.

Woodley-Thompson 2!! was boring. This was Woodley-Thompson 1!!! which was a great fight and ended in a draw. If you don't know what you're talking about, just stay silent. You don't have to have an opinion on everything.

He did not move up a weight class he had two fights at Welterweight vs Nate Diaz just prior, if anything he dropped a weight class!

They were both boring, granted the first less so but I've never heard anyone refer to Woodley vs Thompson as a great fight but you.
Both fights were boring as hell with extremely little action and the crowd booing practically nonstop.

Boxing absolutely sucks atm and there have been many fights we've missed out on and all that, sure but we need to stop acting like the UFC is much if any better in that regard.

                    Tony vs Khabib
                    GSP vs Silva
                    Conor vs RDA
                    Fedor vs Brock
                    Aldo vs Pettis
Jones rematching either of his last two opponents
Ryan Hall getting a fight with well, anyone.
                    Rousey vs Cyborg

Just a few off memory we could/should have had. A fair few of which Dana prevented us from getting.

Dana/UFC fans have short memories and the whole organisation has been built up on the back of boxing yet all they do is badmouth it and go on about how rubbish its run when the reality is its not all that much better and they have many of the same issues.
