In a way, I feel bad for Andrade, because he isn't exactly a fight that most guys would want to take. He is awkward, athletic and southpaw, and has some boxing skills (though I think he is more awkward than technically sound).

But at the same time, he has never really appeared to do what is needed to make a big fight himself. There are enough guys out there to fight. If you really want a fight vs a tough guy, you can find one.

Of course he would rather sit back and face Alantez Fox for about the same money as he would get for anyone else. Boxing is just a mess sometimes

Shannon Briggs actually got in the ring with good fighters. Sultan Ibragimov, Lennox Lewis, George Foreman, Siarhei Liakhovich, Vitali Klitschko, Ray Mercer, Frans Botha. He won his two world championships in the ring against reigning champions, then defended them against top challengers while Andrade won his vacant titles against nobodies and then defended them against worse nobodies.

This all day. We have seen fighters confront the fighters in the ring before. But at a press conference? Desperate for a payday, Andrade went the childish route. Low class actions. You can dislike Alvarez. Say he is overrated. Accuse him of being protected. But he is the money maker in three division, and he said nearly 2 years ago he wanted to unify SMW. Andrade is not even in the correct division right now. When Alvarez is interested, he will look your way. Until then, there has to be another "B" level boxer you can get a little payday for and put people to sleep doing it.

Josesito Lopez even came off a better win than anything on Andrade’s resume when he earned the Canelo fight (upset win over Victor Ortiz).

Hell, James Kirkland was coming off a 5 fight win streak, including an upset win over Angulo, when Canelo chose to fight him.

Andrade, worst managed contender in last ten years. Both he and Charlo wanr some of that Canelo pay but neither of them are getting a fight this year and probably not in 2022. I think Eubank and Benavidez are more likely to get a shot in 2022. So 'mall and Andrade should fight each other to make a case.

Maybe Canelo see's more weaknesses in the winner that he can exploit and chhoses to fight the winner instead of high risk Benavidez.

Canelo's team are sharp matchmakers. Since the Lara fight they wait to see weaknesses in a fighter before taking the fight - GGG, Kovalev, Smith

Yes, crashing Canelos post-fight conference was extremely disrespectful, especially after being so visibly supportive of Saunders (remember what happened when they were supposed to fight!) in the run up to their fight. Andrade was treated like he deserved.

Andrade still hasn't stepped up to 168 and either beat a ranked fighter or, alternatively request mandatory status from WBO.

Both he and Charlo need to go to 168 if they really want that canelo payday.

This bloke's making himself look a right clown here. He needs to make a name for himself before challenging the P4P #1 & that means unifying @ 160Lb. Personally I'd like to see Canelo get Plant outta the way & maybe take on Benavidez (if he can make the weight). Andrade needs to be ringside in Houston on the 19th of June sounding out the Charlo/Montiel winner!

I've seen people trying to make out Android is some incredibly talented boxer/mover like Sweet Pea or Floyd.. I enjoy watching that style, I find it more entertaining than 2 guys in a phone booth slugging it out, but that can be entertaining too.

I just don't see it with Domestos Android. He's just horrible, just a spoiler. Watching his fights gave my eyes aids.

If he gets his Canelo payday, I hope Saul G-mans him.

Exactly! Move up to 168, and force Canelo to fight, or vacate the title! That goes for both Charlo and Andrade!
