They pulled out because Hearn told them he had the money to make the fight early 2021, that was a lie. Hearn didn't have the money secured and has been scrambling for months and months to try and find it. By the time he found it the clock ran out on the arbitration. If the fight was too difficult to make and finance during Covid Hearn should of said so at the beginning or months ago. Instead the delay after delay to try and make the impossible wasted everyone's time. Wasted Fury's, fans time, Joshua's time. Both parties could of moved on and fought first half of 2021 and then waited until late 2021 try to make the fight without 6+months of nonsense.

That's not how contracts work.

If they'd got the fight made earlier, it wouldn't have just beaten the arbitration clock! Wilder could have sought an injunction, and the outcome would still be the outcome even if the Fury Joshua fight was made or had already taken place. The difference is that Fury wouldn't have been able to settle, he would just be ordered to pay ordered damages.

I see Wilder been working on his technique etc. If I'm his team I would step aside and continue doing that first. But I doubt it

Now why on earth will he do that? Chances are if Anthony Joshua wins against Tyson Fury; Then Deontay Wilder may never see his WBC Heavyweight title again. If Anthony Joshua wins then he owes Deontay Wilder nothing. That step aside money is only good if Tyson Fury wins. This arbitration case does not involve Anthony Joshua but Tyson Fury. Also, It's a known fact, that Tyson Fury is a known liar, cheat and a thief. So Deontay wilder cannot afford to wait or he just might get burned again.

Fury is the man and free to fight whom ever he wants , with or without a belt! Nobody can force him to give Wilder another beatdown in September. There will b a monetary settlement to pay...but I doubt Wilder accepts that to save face. Will probably b satisfied with getting Fury early next year.

If Joshua and Fury are really getting $75 million each, give Wilder a piece to step aside. I feel it's in Wilder's best interest to let this bout happen and fight the winner.

I think for Wilder, it's about the belt...he took this to arbitration, he's not stepping aside. Haymon is going to leverage a Fury fight alongside a potential Alvarez/Plant fight to try to secure another deal with FOX.
