Seems like there's a 118lb Nery and a 122lb Nery. The bantamweight was dangerous but the super bantam version really hasn't impressed. I thought the Alameda fight was very close.

If Nery continues to fight like he's been at Super Bantam, I suspect he will lose by decision. He needs to find that 118lb version of himself.

This is a major step up in competition for Figueroa, are his match makers sleeping on Nery or do they see something I don't? Other than the size advantage, figueroa's level of opposition has been absolutely dismal compared to what Nery brings, who is undefeated, proven at the top level and a ferocious puncher.

I totally agree. And while level of competition itself is not a reason to pick Nery alone, the way Nery has responded to it is. Fig has got skills and I do not think anyone would be surprised if he wins this war, but I am betting a UD for Nery, like an 8-4 kind of split in rounds.
