Probably a mistake from boxrec, but they list the nery vs figo fight as a fight for the super belt.

Hopefully it’s just a mistake… I genuinely wouldn’t rule out the WBA having two super champions at one weight.

Totally agreed. Make it a doubleheader where the winners face off. Fulton is even willing to fight Aleem before September but that's obviously not going to happen. I know they are aiming for Aleem to get shot vs MJ, but I wonder what Roman does in the mean time? He's going to be the odd man out here.

Roman vs Aleem is a fight they could potentially make. Not sure they will though especially with no major title on the line. Rios is MJ’s mandatory as well, so Aleem will likely have to wait 6-12 months before the WBA orders him to face MJ.

The more I think about it, 122 is one of the deepest divisions in boxing atm.

It bothers me more they put names like Povetkin in the same lineage as like Ali and Tyson and ****. Those guys held a valid WBA title and Povetkin never did.

Where Pov, Char, and Bryan are considered just as valid a WBA world HW champion as Frazier and Foreman. ****ing disgraceful.

So, yeah, I don't like a reg being promoted like it's a real world title, but, that is all they ever do with it and it's every day so I'm not too broken up over this particular incident.

I dont see anyone treating it as a big fight. It should be a very fun fight stylistically though.
