sorry to burst your bubble but being an undefeated champion by no means makes you an elite fighter. There are tons of undefeated champions all across boxing. Charlo and Andrade are undefeated champions at mw and you hear from canelo fans are “who have they beaten?” Crawford beat 3 undefeated champions for his last three titles and all you hear from canelo fans are “who has Crawford ever beaten” when they debate p4p standings. Haney is an undefeated world champion and all you hear from those same fans (as they’re all now Ryan Garcia groupies by association) is “who has Haney beaten, he’s a paper champion”. So I ask that same question of smith, Saunders and plant. Who have they ever beaten that makes them more worthy than a charlo or Andrade?

Who would hold the 160lb belt hostage then? Charlo can’t move up. Like he said after all the barking vs Benvidez “I’m campaigning at 160. why would I move up to 168?”. Every other interview this guy contradicts himself, why? Because he’s lying for clout. Not allowed move up until another strong piece can hold replace him as belt holder at 160.
If Haymon had ay balls, he could have grown PBC a lot more and been successful with some well timed risks. But instead he’s completely risk averse, and all he’s doing (so far) is slowly drowning himself and has had the sport in a stranglehold with this ‘other side of the street’ bull for over 5 years.

PBC don’t let others near their champions dumb dumb. Besides a fat and formerly retired Fury, all those guys were PBC hitmen with nothing to lose to collect belts. Which we both know would subsequently be hidden away until everyone else starved and PBC could circulate everything in-house.Comment

This is how careers usually go, gimme fights, gimme fights, champonship, unification. Is PBC or anyone else supossed to hand gimme fights to build others prospects? They dont let anyone near a belt of theirs if they have any say on it. But others let them at their belts, thus your examples....
At this point everyone can see this. You're just being dishonest scraping for outliers.
Not to mention the highly ranked fighters PBC keeps locked away from others so they can be fed to their champions.Last edited by SplitSecond; 05-14-2021, 08:01 AM.Comment

The sad thing is this, his twin Jermell who actually achieves better in boxing wouldn’t get so much clout. This one would call people out but when they respond then he would remember that they are not the right age, race, division or haven’t had a Covid-19 test done.Comment

To be fair, I don’t think there are that many “good names” to go around. Most fans consider anyone outside the top 5-10 a “bum” so any wins outside of that don’t count for some reason. Then you have the fact that top guys only fight once or twice a year. Last but not least there are promotional divides and TV dates to consider so it’s easy to see why it’s hard to build a solid resume if you’re not a cash cow like Canelo.Comment

irony is when Floyd agreed to fight Canelo- who was at 154 at the time - it had to be at “152”! And when Floyd fought Marquez - it had to b a “catchweight” at 144 and Floyd came in at 146. Floyd was also a master at manipulating weight...”lil homie”. The 2 biggest fights of Canelos career - against GGG...fought at 160 - no catchweight!Comment
