Charlo needs a win against Demetrius Andrade, GGG , Plant , Benavidez or maybe go after Canelo's past recent opponents Calum Smith , BJS . A win against any of those fighters especially impressively would start to get fans to demand Canelo to fight Charlo. Fighting Montiel is a complete waste of time shameful fight

More people want Canelo vs charlo than they ever did Canelo vs Smith, Yidilgrim, Saunders , fielding or plant. None of their resumes are leaps and bounds beyond Charlo. Too much inconsistency when it comes to who should land Canelo fights and who shouldn’t.

I am sorry for anyone feeling offended by what I am about to say because I like Canelo and mean no disrespect as this is not intended to be a racist comment. However, I think it's time for Canelo to step up his level of opposition and start fighting some undefeated Black fighters around his weight class of a 160 to a 168 pounds like Demetrius Andrade and Jermall Charlo.
