Klitschko vs Chambers Likely Moved To March 2010

I'm disappointed that Wladimir won't fight until March.
It isn't really fair to Eddie Chambers, because he looked his best ever in his fight with Dimitrenko, and he had been keeping active for years. Wladimir also looked as good as I've ever seen him against Chagaev.
Nine months of inactivity isn't good for either fighter.Comment

Eddie weighed 208 for the Dimitrenko fight, most CWs come into the ring weighing 210 - 215. You have people pushing for him to move to CW and those that want him to stay at HW, where he enriches the division. If he keeps his current level of motivation, I don't see why he can't do both. Even if he doesn't beat Wlad, he's only 27. Vitali is 38 and I'd bet hard cash on Eddie to beat the winner of Valuev/Haye. There are title holders at CW, like 5'9", 40 year old Fragomeni and inexperienced Marco Huck that he could beat right now.
I just don't see why he can't do both. I can and have lost 8 lbs overnight. And I didn't have 24 hrs to rehydrate. Plus I was quite a bit smaller than 208.
And if Juan Diaz isn't done, which I'm afraid he just might be (either that or he can't fight sht with a cut,) he needs to get his a$$ to 130, where his power might mean something.Comment

He could certainly do it. But CWs make peanuts, and the HW division always has been where the money is at. I don't think he could beat Wlad, just way too small, but he probably could beat the sloppier Vitali if he fought the perfect fight, that would be unlikely though. At this point he beats Haye and Valuev easy IMO.Eddie weighed 208 for the Dimitrenko fight, most CWs come into the ring weighing 210 - 215. That's why I'm against him moving to CW exclusively. But why not be the first man in history to hold belts in both at the same time? If he has 6 months to wait without a fight, that's plenty of time to set up a title fight at CW. Seems a whole lot better than fighting some tomato can at HW to me.He could certainly do it. That is true. His ranking in the HW division also would not be affected by it.That's why I'm against him moving to CW exclusively. Eddie will prove that size isn't everything and Emmanuel Stewart will stop talking about a SHW division when Chambers beats Wlad.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 08-31-2009, 11:53 PM.Comment
