  • Do Canelo FANS want to go back Paying $80 PPV’s? Of course Not!

    Fielding $20 bucks
    Jacobs $20 bucks
    Kovalev $20 bucks
    Smith $20, UK 2 quid
    Yildirim $20, UK 2 quid
    BJS $20, UK 2 quid

    PBC PPV $80 bucks…

How does PBC break even if they would plan to match DAZN’s purses for Canelo?

With my subscription, I paid $8.33 for each of those fights. Plus all the other fights DAZN put out.

No way does Canelo leave DAZN. If he did, I'd watch it on a hot firestick. No way am I ever paying for a PPV after the Mayweather/Pac nonsense.

If Haymon cares about boxing he will take his portfolio to DAZN and make his fighters happy. I think industry is waiting for Al to acknowledge this move. Haymonites take things too personal… if PBC was stronger I wouldn’t mind Canelo doing a deal with PBC but realistically they can’t afford it and their programming has gotten worse. We just want good fights and all PBC fans want their Haymon fighters to fight Canelo

Well it's largely depends on who he fights. For Jermall Charlo; Hell Yeah? For a David Benavidez; Hell Yeah? For a third fight with GGG or Demetrius Andrade; Hell No?

You don’t get it. PBC needs money to match DAZN’s infrastructure and pay. Espinoza would be taking a risk. I don’t think he wants to do PPV’s less than $50. Still what are Canelo’s guarantees here forward? The pandemic is fading out. Canelo is going back to his paygrade

Canelo's guarantee isn't coming out of Showtime's or Fox's budget. It will be coming out of Al Haymon's budget. Neither broadcasting network's licensing fees could cover Alvarez' guarantee; Which would be somewhere between 25-30M dollars. Which is why the fights would be broadcast on PPV; Where the PBC would assume all of the financial risks. Al Haymon has already offered Canelo a three fight $75M dollar deal upon learning of his promotional free agency.

Meanwhile DAZN offers the fight on the ppv platform since a large number of people still don’t have dazn.

why are we even still talking about this ?

They are doing it for other crapy fighters. Why wouldn't they do it for Canelo.

If I understand it correctly it comes with a free 3 month dazn membership which imo (you can disagree) is a smart strategy. The aim is to get these people to try out dazn after they purchased the "PPV" and become subscribers.

there are somehow still people in 2021 who are reluctant to use an app to watch sport even though netflix has been around for years. I dont get it. But that's a way to work around it.
