Present-day Canelo would CRUSH any version of Floyd!

Both these fighters (Canelo & Floyd) are really NOT IN THE SAME WEIGHT CLASS. Floyd’s natural weight in the ring is about 140. Canelo’s is 154. They only fought each other cause Floyd was OLD and heavier than normal. The kid should of whipped him good but HE DIDNT.
If you could reel back time and put a 30 year old Canelo in their instead. I agree. Canelo would give him hell but if You could stick a 30 year old Floyd (NOT 36). You’d also see a different fight.
It was impressive to watch a Wiley 36 year old school a damn good kid and that’s rare with a gifted kid like Canelo.
Credit to how good Floyd was.Comment

Let's not include every guy who ever boxed. May clearly has a prime when he had it all. Again, he was still exceptional above his best fighting weight. That doesn't mean that was his best weight.
It really isn't that big of a deal. Prime versions will never fight so it's left to fans to battle it out for them.Comment

Canelo operates at a much higher skill than Froch or Kessler ever did. I like their throw back fights but they are way sloppier with technique and fundamentals than Canelo, just sloppy. Canelo would dissect both Froch and Kessler. Froch even recently admitted Canelo would be significantly tough to beat and Froch rarely says such things. That’s because Canelo continues at 168 and Froch can’t dismiss consistency as he continues to look better each fight. A 168 Ward is too thin for Canelo. Nobody in the Super 6 would beat Canelo now
Froch would be different but the unified Froch was a lot better than the one who lost to Ward in the super 6. That Froch could give Canelo a lot of problems but I'd give Canelo an edge in that one because he can box. Froch, not so much.
Canelo against Ward? He's not beating him and afterward, people would complain of cheating and this and that but ultimately Ward still wins.Comment

Ward would 100% beat Canelo, specially that version of him. He fought different ways against different fighters through that whole super 6. Boxed punchers, brawled swarmers, swarmed the boxers. Canelo would lose against him and I have no doubt about that.

Now if you think that Tyson has more pure boxing skill than Canelo, then present some facts. Floyd has more pure skill than Tyson as well, but doesn't change the fact that Tyson would be the piss out of both in the same night. Never said that Canelo could beat Tyson. Tyson could probably dog him at his current age.
