Present-day Canelo would CRUSH any version of Floyd!

Ridiculous thread. Canelo's prime weight doesn't even remotely overlap Floyd best weight. What weight would they fight at? Floyd best was below 140, and Canelo's best is at 168. They meet in the middle at 154 and a 2021 Canelo wouldn't even be able to stand up at the weigh in.
Shout out to all the people that mentioned the weight class difference. Thanks for being smart

He'd tear all the muscles out of his puny, IV-riddled arms, smash his ribs in 10-times worse than Castillo ever did... then cave his skull in like he just did BJ Saunders! No chance for the 5'5" Floyd when Canelo is knocking out Heavyweights in sparring. And yes, Floyd may have a win over the Big Show, but that was Wrestling, not Boxing!
WIn over Saunders, now Canelo beats all versions of Floyd, Ray Robinson, RJJ, Mike Tyson, Fury, everybody even Ali!

It's an "any version vs any version" type question. One fighters best version is 4-5 weight classes above the other fighters. So, it's not even remotely doable.
200 pound version Mike Tyson could beat 175 Canelo, but that doesn't prove Mikes the better fighter. Canelo is more skilled overall, but one fighter is just bigger. This post makes no sense due to the respective prime weight classes of both fighters

Canelo could fight backing up better as well. Tyson also has shown tendencies to lose his mind when getting bullied (biting, pulling arms, etc), and Canelo is more efficient in the same scenario. He was getting pushed back by GGG in the first fight and he was using efficient defense and picking his shots. Tysons career was derailed quite a bit though, so I'm sure we never saw him peak. But, based on body of work, I would say Canelo has more overall skill from a boxing and mental perspective

Floyd does everything better than Canelo expect punching power. He's an expert at nullifying that.
