People don't like hypocrites. Don't say you're willing to die in the ring, and then quit and look for an easy way out when you're due to be KOed. Simple as that. -

Truth is Larry here is my take on it....
its easy for Boxing or say even MMA fans to slate or call out fighters or criticise but then again we are not the ones getting our faces pummelled in or our bodies being punished/beaten to a bloody pulp...
I know there is a strong sense off warrior mentality or the whole do or die attitude which comes with the territory but sometimes some one hits their limit or the fight is ruled over.....Billy Joe Saunders suffered a broken orbital bone and was deemed unfit to continue from such an injury...
People will slate or call him every name under the sun but the way I see it any fighter be it Amateur or Pro takes a big risk when they go into the ring and fight that alone takes a lot to do...
Has Billy Joe Saunders said or done questionable things/acts in the past? sure and was I happy to see Canelo win? indeed but I'm not going to rip into the man he went there did the fight knowing the risk and lost.....the endComment

Under normal circumstances most boxers keep fighting. Thats what they mean by leaving it all in the ring. I actually dont blame billy cause these are different circumstances. He was never gonna get the decision so why keep fighting? He was right to just give up. He put up a good fight and made canelo look like an idiot with all the punches he was missing. It was a valiant effort but he just got hit with a good punch from someone who somehow became this devastating puncherComment

It's not the hypocrisy.
Anyone talking about 'quitters' or saying they would rather 'die in the ring' should be called out as soon as they say it. You shouldn't need to wait for a bad injury for it to become an issue.
So Billy Joe was a **** for saying it. The fact he quit with a similar injury doesn't come into it. The problem was the fact he ever said it.
And your comments saying he quit and looked for an easy way out deserve the same treatment. We shouldn't need to wait for your to suffer an injury before we can call you out on it.Comment

Boxing is an ego driven sport
A sport where if you talk and act a certain way, you better back it up
This is one f@ggotty era we are living in
No other boxing era would this even be a topic.
Your hands and legs work, you have another eye
Get your ass back in thereComment
