I have to ask: where did Canelo get all this punching power from?

he literally caved in Billy Hoe's face with ONE punch.

    just 1

he had Callum, Fielding, Jacobs and Kovalev all timid and scared to get hit.

where is he generating all this power from?

the dude is punching like Rocky Marciano right now.

Canelo was never this powerful. he couldn't budge a smaller and already damaged Cotto, couldn't stop 75 year old Shane Mosley and couldn't tickle Golovkin.

now he's caving faces in and has mofos scared to death to exchange with him.

    just questions mang.

This is a fallacy,Canelo has gotten stronger cause hes no longer draining down,& Because hes in his prime now,but hes hes ALWAYS been a very powerful puncher,& he trains harder than anyone.

    He spars hws ffs.

Hes gotten better, but it appears to uninitiated that hes suddenly found miraculous power. Speed & timing kills, not "power" I've always said it,as well as counters opponents don't see.

Thats why BJS wasn't kod but instead quit on stool, I've said for yrs all these things, you just warent listening. Canelos punches cause damage through cumulative effect as well as how clean he hits opponents due to getting them scared shtless of body shots then faking a body shot while actually going upstairs.(I said thats tha hed ko BJS before the fight)

Ppl also forget Canelo has been a pro 15 yrs now, after so long hes become damn near unstoppable. Even ggg left his hands at home in both fights.(relative to his prior fights before & after Canelo)

HGH, Sarms, Steroids and other drugs. That's IMO the real answer.

          I don’t think it’s new power. He’s always been a strong puncher.

It may not be fair but the positive PED test will always give some reason to question him or allow some to throw shade his way.

Starting at 160 pounds, one punch from any real boxer can end a fight.

            He moved to 168.

Despite the injury to BJS, which I think was a freak case of being caught in the perfect spot, can we say his power is huge?

He hit Saunders flush with good shots in the fight and never wobbled him. Never really looked like dropping Smith, Jacobs etc. Kovalev had been stopped him 2 of his previous 4.

so I don’t think he has this extraordinary power. He often lands a high percentage of power shots and doesn’t drop many fighters.

I think the fighters are apprehensive because the shots are very, very sharp not necessarily powerful.

Nobody walks through sharp punchers, powerful or not. That’s why even Floyd used to cut down opponents work rate in half, despite having little power,

You're not watching the difference in how he plants.

The shot he hit Saunders with is the same shot he hit Angulo with - but with the opposite hand - and Saunders was moving into the shot.

When you throw that type of uppercut with the opposite hand, you're engaging your full back muscle group.

As far as the others go, Canelo has mastered adding snap to his shots that he never did before. Watch his fight against Floyd - he threw, but there was no "snap" behind anything he threw because Floyd kept him moving to where he couldn't get set.

                Think of it this way.

Before he fought Golovkin the second time, Canelo fought basically a light counterpunching style that tried to emphasize defense.

Going forward from that, he's adopted an aggressive counterpunching style that uses offense as defense.

Think about it: if you've got a guy who's coming forward planting feet and throwing scarily accurate shots, it nullifies your desire to engage and take risks unless you have the reflexes of a Floyd Mayweather to avoid most of it.

As far as Mosley, even Manny couldn't stop Mosley, so that's a moot point.

Canelo is using more ass in his punches than he used to.
