I thought Canelo was having his way for most of the fight. The Ho did some slick stuff to slow the Mexican Steamroller but eventually the Ho got plowed and is now in the ICU giving birth.

I think most people have Saunders 4, 5 & 6. Not much happened in the first so I can see argument for Saunders there. What I found more weird was the other commentated gasped like a teenage girl when the score was read

BJS did not win the 4th round. He ate that big uppercut and a few other big shots. He was barely landing any power punches. He has a case for rounds 1, 5 and 6 that's it.

Canelo has a case for rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and obviously 8. BJS won 2-3 rounds in the first half of the fight as I expected and then it was going to go all downhill after that. Well, he got beat up badly in the 8th round and that's all she wrote.

No, you would have had it 5-3 Canelo since the 8th round needs to be scored. You jumped in the other thread hating on the judges scorecards when they essentially had it exactly how you had it.

He probably knows about as much as a boxingscene forum poster. I disagree with his scorecard, but i’m not gonna sit here and say i’m better than him at scoring fights. He was somehow fooled by Saunders clowning, movement, showboating when ever he got hit hard. I’m not entirely sure what he was seeing in BJS but his colleague Carl Froch, and the 3 official judges had it for Canelo 6-2 and 5-3. Also, some boxing fans here seemed to have agreed with him. Now whether that is them being incompetent or they hate Canelo, or they genuinely believed BJS was really up, that’s a different story. All I know is I had 6-2 Canelo after 8 rounds and I felt it was easy to see that. I won’t lie though, could easily also be 5-3 Canelo, which would not be bad either.

The issue with Canelo is that he only fights in spurts of about 20 seconds at a time and only does so 2 or 3 times around. So although Canelo is landing flashier and harder punches some people do pay attention to the fact he isn't working the majority of the fight.

If Saunders would have weathered the storm of 8 and 9, he could have possibly gone on to grab a couple more rounds in the last three and had an argument for being robbed.

But it's all academic.
