But if you were blinded by or swayed by the overzealous announcers, you probably missed the incredible body work Canelo was putting in throughout the entire fight.

Some people complained about Canelo not using the jab....lmao. he doesn't need to jab, when a light feint essentially allows him to set up his power punches, wherever he wants to place them. To me, Canelo steamrolls Plant and Andrade. He wants to unify at 168 and beat plant so that fight is next. After that, we should all want to see Canelo vs Charlo.

Who has Charlo fought? To everyone who says Canelo needs to fight Andrade and Jermall Charlo, why don’t they fight each other, the winner fight GGG and then demand a fight with Canelo? These dudes don’t fight each other, they’re just taking easy fights and hoping they get the Canelo sweepstakes. You need to fight your way to the top.

Israel Vasquez comes to mind whenever I see a fighter retire on the stool with eye injuries. He fought through a lot too and ended up losing an eye:

Known for four action-packed fights with Rafael Marquez, Israel Vazquez will have to have his right eye removed from accumulated damage.

Antonio Margarito also comes to mind because he is now on record saying that he regrets fighting with a broken orbital bone against Manny Pacquiao:

Back in November of 2010, Manny Pacquiao was going for his eight divisional title when he stepped in the ring with the always dangerous Antonio Margarito. The c

        Another powerful display from Canelo.
The USA commentator called BJ Saunders "A Brit with swag" Obviously doesn't realize that in England "Swag" means stolen property.
Then again maybe he does know!

Great fight by Canelo. I lost fifty bucks to my brother I had Canelo winning a decision but he proved once again that he is the current best in the game. I loved his ability to work the body throughout and he set that uppercut up beautifully all night.

Props to Billy Joe he put up a great effort until that last shot- I really felt the momentum swinging for him in some of those middle rounds.

All around great entertaining fight and I can’t wait for Canelo to run through Plant in September.

Good fight.
              Agreed with this.

Great fight. Saunders did perform well in spots, credit to him. Canelo didn’t use the jab as much but he worked his feints well and had success when he decided to go to the body. When he did decide to turn up the tempo in round 8, you could really see Saunders retreating from the heave body blow

on a side note- I felt like Chris Manix card was a bit wide for Billy joe, don’t know how he had him leading on the scorecards. I felt Chris and Sergio were slightly bias to Saunders in the commentary as well. However, Carl Froch really impressed me with his commentary, very balanced and fair- would like to hear more from him.
