chavez would probably be too for jmm. lets not forget Diaz/Casamayor were competiive vs Marquez before they got knocked out. Chavez is a lot better than those two. JMM precision punching would keep him in the fight but ultimately he would lose

What fight at 140 did Chavez look better than he did against Rosario?

Not only did Chavez fight brilliantly and dominate Rosario, but Rosario was better than the guys Chavez beat at 140, excluding Taylor.

Chavez won his titles one division above Marquez did. Not much of a difference.

Just have them fight @ 130, where both guys were pretty close to their prime. Perhaps Chavez is a tad before his peak, and Marquez a tad past it. I doubt Chavez was rehydrating to 140. That's close enough in size.

If JMM could hang with Pac, he can easily hang with JCC

This would have been a great fight. Hard to say who wins it. Chavez was such a great pressure fighter and had good boxing ability as well. If you watch DLH vs Chavez II you will see that, even at that age of 36 he still managed to land some shots on Oscar.

JCC is a pressure fighter and loves to fight inside and wear his opponent down. JMM is a master technician fighting in the middle of the ring and his counter punching is superb. If JCC tries to pressure i think JMM would win.

Pacquiao and Chavez don't fight alike so it doesn't mean anything.

Marquez can "hang" with the Chavez in terms of being competitive, but he most likely loses.

You guys are on serious drugs if you think JMM is on a prime Chavez level at 135/140.
