IMO Dirrell isn't as good a boxer as Taylor plus Dirrell's having to come to England. Dirrell may do well in the early rounds but Froch will get to him earlier than he did Taylor due to (a) Dirrell not being as good a boxer as Taylor and (b) Froch being cheered on by the home town crowd. Froch will win this one and i'll be at the Trent FM Arena to see it

Fighters aren't born with big wins on their resume. Who had Froch beaten before he beat Pascal and Taylor? Nobody that's who. A bunch of bums including some ****** Russian named Tatervosyan or something who came to the ring with a flippin bear rug d****d across his back.

At some point every fighter has to get their first big win, Dirrell's victories over Hanshaw and Oganov are more than enough to prepare him for Froch as Froch had faced much worse competition before facing Pascal and Taylor.

Thats exagerating, he had beaten Robin Reid(former super middleweight champ) and Alexander Rybacki(who was undeafeted) before he became champ. Its just about as good as Dirrell has beaten. and now Carl Froch has faced Jean Pascal and Jermain Taylor, both of them where better and more proven than Dirrell and he beat them both.

I think I have a better idea than you. I can assure you of one thing, Dirrell is a hell of a lot better fighter than Jean Pascal.

He is also more accurate and throws twice the number of punches that Taylor does. Taylor managed to keep Froch off of him for 10 rounds fighting a lazy ass fight. People act like Froch was pressing him all night long and Taylor's brilliant boxing saved the day... not what happened.

Froch was completely dumbfounded early in the fight, made very little effort in the middle rounds, and only the fact that Jermain Taylor has the worst conditioning of any elite fighter pulled Froch through.

Against Dirrell he is gonna be walking into all kinds of punches, I almost expect it to be comical.

Well ive seen Dirrell against Hanshaw, Kost, Oganov, Paschall, Findley and i dont think he is that much better than Pascal, more conventional yes.

That said i expect him to beat Froch and make him look silly, but if he does too much backing up he might make the fight very hard for himself, because if Froch can get the fight out of the centre the ring where Dirrell should be able to take him to school the way Taylor did he will gather momentum and might break Dirrell down.

Another factor in this fight will be the old southpaw vs. othrodox matchup. Froch's footwork isn't very good, and I'm interested to see how he will fare against Dirrell in that department. Does anybody know how he's done against them in the past?
