Going for the upset: Saunders beats Canelo

This is the most cerebral opponent Canelo has faced in some time. Saunders is like a mini-Tyson Fury. I don't know what Canelo is gonna make of all the head games and antics this guy does .

The fact that it's in Texas, a Canelo stronghold, means Saunders best chance at victory is a decisive knockout. No chance of that happening. But I can see Saunders frustrating Canelo with the histrionics, to the point that he gets him out of his game.

That leads to Saunders schooling Canelo to the point that the judges can't risk a robbery, and he gets a SD victory.

I could see a Lara type performance with a split decision.

A Canelo fight week tradition is the haters dreaming and hoping for a loss start making predictions.
Sorry, Billy Hoe not built for this level. A W for him is not getting KTFO.

He’s definitely got more of chance than many people think. I can see him frustrating the hell out of him. Canelo isn’t as dominant as I think some people think. He lost many rounds against GGG and arguably lost the first, Kovalev was winning their fight up until the stoppage, plus obviously Lara.

I'm a Canelo fan here and BJS is a POS human, but I really think Billy Hoe has a good chance of upsetting him.

You’ve been here since 2009. How do you just randomly cite fights without contextualizing timeframe, weights, experience…

            dedicated casuals I guess

This fight wouldve been close to 50/50 a few years ago at 160. I do agree that BJS has a style that should cause some problems for Canelo. But since the 2nd GGG fight, Canelo seems to have ascended to another level. He seems to have more layers to his game now and is better suited at 168. BJS seems the opposite, i think since after the lemiuex fight and moving up, he doesnt quite seem to as effective. I like canelo by clear decision, a stoppage wouldnt be shocking.

It's not out of the question and BJS does present some problems, but it's such a huge step up in competition for BJS, I don't think his tactics work on someone as skilled, experienced, and fast as Canelo.

It's hard to gauge how saunders performs, canelo makes people change their whole gameplan during a fight. Experience tells me canelo will dominate and make saunders retreat and take a stick and move gameplan with only fleeting success.

I’ve said for years that the best BJS beats Canelo. This won’t be the version of BJS from other fights that turns up and just does enough to win.

he’s a hell of a talent with a huge boxing IQ and people will see it next weekend.
