BoxingScene.com was advised that a planned doubleheader is not taking shape as expected. HBO would like to put together a welterweight doubleheader on December 26. In the main event, Shane Mosley would defend his WBA "super" welterweight title against the probable challenger Joshua Clottey. As the co-feature, the network wanted an unification bout between WBC champion Andre Berto and IBF champion Isaac Hlatshwayo. Obviously the card is an infomercial to set up a Mosley vs. Berto bout in early 2010. [details]

As many soft touches and good money youve made on HBO, you cant take a little less Berto? Come on, nobody has had it as good as you in getting a title and your defenses. Take the cut then come back and get more against Mosley, but I know what it is, you know Mosley would win, so you wanna get the two biggest paychecks you can before you lose your title to him.Comment

If he did the math in his head, he'd realize he is earning more money overall. He'd probably have lost to someone like Mosley for big bucks. Then he'd probably make less then 750k against HlatshwayoComment
