How is Figueroa a professional boxer is beyond me. No jab, squares up, horrible footwork and no defence whatsoever.

I agree. It may be time for him to retire. I mean his body is starting to break down now which is a sign of aging. In addition, he hasn't looked the same since that Nihito Arakawa fight back in 2013. That fight ruined his career.

Figueroa is just a journeyman. Journeyman have a place in this sport. Everybody that has 1 or 2 losses doesnt need to retire

I've been watching boxing for 50 years. That's the most ineffective I've ever seen a fighter at bobbing and weaving. I rarely laugh when I watch a fight but I honestly was killing myself laughing watching this dude get hit in the face on every bob, and every weave . It was comical. Nevermind the fact he looked like a complete idiot doing it.

Ever since moving up from lightweight he's been listless and ineffective. It almost feels like he's trying to use his lightweight style at welterweight but its just not working for him.

I was thinking what happened to this guy? Figueroa used to be a beast at 135 just battering guys breaking them down. Now at 147 trying to be some kind of James Toney in the pocket wizard but doesn't know what he's doing and Ramos just beat the piss out of him.

Yup that fight ruined his hands and that is why he is not the same fighter he has shot hands he hasn't been able to throw power shots in a while and at 147 his style is all wrong too many big punchers there that will walk right through him if he has nothing to offer I like Figueroa he was an exciting fighter but if he doesn't have healthy hands there is no point in him continuing to fight.
