Ricky Hatton: The Comeback Plan is There

During a recent interview, former two division champion Ricky Hatton said that he would likely return to the ring. The options for Hatton are running thin but the comeback plan is already there on paper. The scenario most expect to take place would a return against a fighter that Ricky could beat and ultimately look good against. The most recent name brought into the picture is former lightweight champion Juan Diaz. They share the same promoter, Golden Boy Promotions. Golden Boy wants to make that fight and Diaz has been calling Hatton out. [details]

Comes back against an opponent in which he is expected to look good against.

Result: Hatton gets KOed in round 10.

Why are there so many damn threads about a possibility of Hatton returning? If he returns, he returns. Enough of this BS.

Diaz don't have the pop to hurt Ricky. Good comeback fight IMO.

I think a lot of people have over reacted a bit to Hatton's losses! Both guys he lost to were the Pound For Pound Number 1 fighter in the world when he lost to them! I think he could still be competitive at 140! He should never get in the ring with Pac or Mayweather again though. I would really hate Hatton to get badly hurt in the ring but love watching him fight.

Hopefully Hatton will get in the gym right away because when he greeted Ali, he was pushing two bills if you ask me. I think the visit inspired Ricky and with the right mindset, he can recapture the fire he once had that made him world class. Hatton is good for boxing and I hope he gets it done. Big Hatton fights are allot of fun and are very exciting. There's only one Ricky Hatton and I'm glad he's returning. After all, he's only 30 and it's not like he looked faded against Pac, he just got caught napping on a shot and went to sleep.

If Hatton wants to come back then let him. It's his life, he can do whatever he wants with it. He won't come on here and look for you lots opinion.

The proposed matchup is ridiculous. Hatton already beat up Malignaggi who just gave poor Diaz a boxing lesson and got robbed for his troubles. This fight makes no sense whatsoever. A far better option is if Hatton fights Bradley which would also prove to be a highly entertaining bout.
