    Ring Size

The ring shall be no less than sixteen (16) or more than 20 feet square when measured inside the line of the ropes. The apron of the ring shall extend beyond the ropes not less than two feet. The ring shall be equipped with four ropes with two spacer ties on each side of the ring to secure the ropes.

Lying am i? So either some reporter got it wrong and people ran with it or they broke the ABC rules.

"Once built on Thursday morning it is expected to be 22x22ft to allow AJ plenty of space to move away from Ruiz Jr’s attacks."

Saudi dude had it rebuilt with blood.left on it still.

        Expected?

What's more likely reporter got the size wrong or they broke the rules? If the rules were broken you'd think Ruiz's team and Haymon would complain, no?

Joshua is the A-side short and long term so he'd always have everything in his favour but Ruiz lost focus and shape in a big way between the two fights - Joshua also brought in 2-3 new trainers for that fight. He also mixed up his "diet"... more marathon runner than strong man for that one... might no longer of looked like Mr Olympia but that doesn't mean he wasn't carrying a loaded gun either..

Generally bouts take place in a “ring” that is 18 to 22 feet (5.5 to 6.7 metres) square and surrounded by four strands of rope.

I posted the ABC rules from their site. Which states 16-20 feet. So no.

Do you have anyone involved in the Joshua-Ruiz 2 fight saying the ring was 22 feet? You'd think there'd be someone mentioning it if it is was.

Looks to me someone misreported and people jumped on it. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

It's up to the governing agency. Man just look at it!

So that's a no. They had this "giant" ring out of the norm and not one member of Ruiz's team mention it. Just stop it guys, FFS.

Does the ring look 50% like the thread starter claimed?

I agree these hugeass footbal fields need to go. They were made specifically for "defensive boxers" who apparently aren't good enough to fight in a standard ring

Idk which fight took place in what ring, but a boxing ring should be x size for every fight. Or at a minimum it should be a part of regular data provided on a fight like the date, location & weight of the fighters.
