Contracts can go back and forth for months just on minor wording, especially when you have lawyers from different countries. There's nothing Eddie is saying that should surprise anyone - least of all a Lawyer like Bob.

The promoters don't even seem to be contradicting each other on this. They're all agreed that Eddie is the one putting the deal and the contracts together, while Arum and his UK PA complain that it's taking too long.

If all three are saying basically the same thing then it's probably what's happening.

I just have a sense that Fury isn't all in on an August fight and they'll be happy to complain and then walk away on the slightest disagreement.

It was Arums job to sort out the Wilder situation. Looks like he's failed and is trying to distract by blaming Hearn.

Decades........ yet have done **** all to try and make the fight and left Hearn to do everything. Deal was for both sides to go out and find site offers, Hearn brought multiple, Arum and Warren a big fat 0. Arum/Warren/Fury choose Saudi Arabia with Hearn, but now it's Hearn's fault not theirs.

I see posters on here constantly ignoring things and twisting to suit their hate Hearn agenda. Mind boggling. Let's hate on the guy trying to bring the big fight. Makes no ****ing sense.

Because Eddie is so intent on promoting himself and MATCHROOM That he did jump the gun and claim this fight was far further down the line than it really was. John fury gave a great, insightful and respectful interview to Sky Sports about Eddie and this very issue.

If it's done, then why did Arum meet for arbitration a couple of days ago, then he's suddenly saying it's off and they are going to fight Wilder? It's not done is it.

I think the problem here is quite obvious. Hearn is trying to make a big deal with the Saudis but it is taking a lot of time and there are ifs and buts. Hearn wants to keep people interested and saying it's one week, two weeks. For Hearn and AJ, it is OK to wait the additional 1-2 months and get the fight done because AJ fought in December.

Arum and Warren and Fury were interested in the fight, but they cannot bring in a big deal right now due to the pandemic. They were interested in Hearn's offer but it is taking its time. Fury is not OK with it since he last fought in Feb of 2020. For Fury and Arum and Warren, if it is taking too long, we can continue that negotiation for a winter fight but let's have Fury fight someone (Wilder) in-between and AJ fight Usyk. Plus, that would mean they never have to negotiate a Wilder step-aside fee or any other thing in the arbitration.

That is why Hearn is furious about why Arum is negative and not ready to wait, While Arum is negative because Eddie couldn't deliver in time and his fighter doesn't want to wait.

Hearn has been pretty honest about the whole thing. When he says it's done, he's talking purses, gloves, entrance order, titles on the line, TV rights, ticket rights, location, rematch clauses, injury contingencys, etc.

The logistics involved in getting that in writing during a pandemic, whilst securing perhaps the biggest site fee of all time in a foreign country sounds a monumentous task. There's contracts which need to pass through many lawyers hands and be approved by all parties before an announcement can be made. Much of that is beyond Hearns control in terms of time frame but it doesn't change the fact that terms were agreed much earlier and he never lied about it. He's asked constantly about it and always gives best case scenario.

So Arum and Warren coming out with BS is disengenuous when they know the hard work that must be going on behind the scenes.

If they are concerned about Fury inactivity they should have got him out in December against Kabayel but they didn't. That's not Hearns responsibility.
