Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz: I Did A Self-Death, Killed Off The Old Andy And Am Reborn

Andy Ruiz Jr. can take comfort in knowing that the best available version of himself will enter the ring this Saturday, no matter the final outcome. It was the only way to approach his all-Mexican heavyweight showdown with Chris Arreola, since the previous version didn't come close to getting the job done in his most recent fight.

He sounds like Wilder. And Arreola was looking unusually fit in comparison.

I'm really tempted to put money on an upset.

Still can't believe they charging $50 to see this fight! Good card, but definitely NOT PPV material!

Yeah man i might put a cheeky tenner on Chris, if Ruiz really has lost that much weight, his punch resistance might be fooked.

Nah ... Andy accepted that he was to blame for his loss to AJ and has been working hard to improve his attitude and skills with a new trainer who told him the hard truths he needed to hear. Wilder blamed everybody but himself for his loss to Fury and is still being trained by "yes men" who tell him only what he wants to hear.

It looks like he's lost maybe 30lbs since his last fight, not 130lbs like Fury before the first Wilder fight!

I think Reynoso (and Abel Sanchez) are the sharpest coaching minds in boxing right now. Plus the whole camp with Canelo and Ryan is a disciplined boxing more than anything loving atmosphere. Lets see how Ruiz does, but i can see him beating Wilder, Joshua again, and even Fury if hes 100%.

                  Ruiz TKO7

Agreed. I definitely believe that a serious and determined Ruiz will beat Fury.
