The real problem is Crawford is with top rank and they don’t really do many crossover fights unless it’s a huge mega fight. And all the other WW’s are with PBC happy to fight each other picking up a few million. I have no doubt Crawford would’ve been in that mix if he was with PBC.
Neither Spence or Crawford are really crossover stars, so even though it’s a big fight in the boxing world it’s not a fight that crosses over outside of that, which is why there’s not enough money in it for the two networks to do a co promotion and broadcast. So nobody has an incentive to force the fight. I think that’s really the top and bottom of it.
Fury v Wilder was a crossover, but it’s a bigger money fight and more international as Fury brought a second PPV market to the table with the UK.
