With the pandemic still very much ruining travel and big events, it is questionable if the big money is there as Eddie claims. There must be something hindering the process for us to be hearing "next week" for a few months now. Sure Fury and Arum think they can slip a fight in-between rather than keep waiting.

Wilder gets KO'd by Fury, and the rematch is a "nothing" fight? Didn't Joshua get KO'd by Fat Andy Ruiz? I guess because Joshua has belts, that's different?
The difference is that after AJ lost to Ruiz he didn't just activate his rematch clause, his promoter also hit the other team with a legal suit to enforce AJ's contractual rights. He then got off his arse and secured an $85million site fee to stage the rematch in Saudi Arabia.

If Wilder's team had done the same thing themselves, instead of disappearing into the woodwork and doing absolutely nothing, and Wilder had accepted his loss like a man, the way AJ did, instead of smearing his opponents name with baseless allegations of cheating, then Fury vs Wilder 3 would have already happened by now.
