"because top guys in the same company don't want to fight each other" ..... ok you must be in Europe. We literally have an undisputed fight at 154 in july and a 3 belt unification unification at 147 with about 10 more title fights on Showtime this summer. And FOX hasn't even released their schedule yet. I believe you meant to say DAZN guys dont want to fight each other like 3G, Canelo, Andrade, BJ Saunders, Ryan, Devin ...... get your facts st8t first before you post son!

Nah, not everyone looks through the same lens that you do, where it's just shades of different promoters and platforms. I'm sure some of his critics fall into the camp you mentioned, but there are valid reasons to criticize him. He proclaims "Lions Only" yet his record is littered with the lambs of the division.

For the record, I think he's a damn good fighter and he was impressive and showed resolve in the Derevyanchenko fight but he brings alot of the criticism on himself.

I think Mall just wants a big fight & big fight to him means Canelo or GGG. Fighting a guy much younger than him probably feels like a lose lose situation to him. If he beat him he beat a young guy who's not done much & if he loses well he lost.

and the winner should get Canelo Alvarez but we already know that it won't happen because Canelo's cowardly cherry picking ass is afraid of both of them. At this point he won't fight a live body who is a risk in the ring.

Not too big a threat, and he'd already been in heavy with GGG and Jacobs. If Mall can beat Benavidez he'd get props for beating a former champ and one of the top guys at the weight. It would put him in a great position to persue the Canelo fight after he fights Plant

Lotsa folks thought Derevyanchenko deserved the decision vs GGG.

If Mall does whatever fans want him to do today isn't what Mall is thinking about. Mall has been boxing for like a dozen years already, is undefeated & a multiweight champion. He wants a big fight. Benevidez is a fun fight for fans & a big fight for fans to I'd even say, but from Mall's POV the only big fights gotta be GGG & Canelo cuz those are the money guys. The money guys are the big fights to boxers. Don't believe me? Than why are Bud & Errol fighting over who's gonna get Manny next instead of fighting each other to decide in the ring who's #1 at 147?
