It's rather mind boggling and embarassing that Paul gets more pay per view buys than Crawford and Spence fights, and than the Fury-Wilder rematch.

Then again, it's not regular boxing fans that buy the ppv's of the Paul brothers, or the Triller shows for that matter.

What's mind boggling about it? He's a celebrity that makes millions of dollars a year making videos on YouTube. His a highly paid world reknown entertainer. If Tom Cruise started boxing he would make more than Spence or Crawford too. What's mind boggling is you don't understand this basic idea of being a celebrity.

Its not innovation, its desperation. Imagine the biggest drawing UFC PPV of the year was 54 year old Royce Gracie and 57 year Ken Shamrock coming out of retirement for a fight where no official winner can be declared, with a co-main of a Youtuber vs NBA player. Then the first UFC PPV of the following year doesnt come until late April and its a Youtuber vs a retired boxer mixed in with Justin Bieber performances. Then imagine even with all that boxing was still the bigger PPV draw.

Zuffa boxing would be a terrible idea because it costs considerably more to bring in name fighters and those fighters on average dont draw like the UFC stars do. Canelo/Kovalev costing $40m in fight purses only to be shown on a small streaming platform and delayed so a UFC PPV between two guys getting paid $500k each can finish first being a perfect example of that.
