That is a valid point, I also don't understand how it could attract so many viewers. Totally mind boggling, it was dreadful, having checked what the fuss was on youtube.
Quit hating. It was an epic night. Cunningham looked like an Adonis, Oscar was in rare form, Al Bernstein caught a contact high, Askren provided a stiff test and it culminated with a spectacular stoppage by the new face of the sport.
Between getting KO'd with one shot in the opening 5 seconds to now getting KOd in the first round by some **** from Youtube the guy has probably the worst high profile losses of any fighter ever.
It's not how you lose, it's how you respond to these losses, and I can guarantee you Ben will come back bigger and better than ever
If some instgram star offers you a mil to fight them for 30 seconds you're gonna do it, no matter what your boxing skill level. Anybody saying otherwise is a liar.
If you think the "embarassment of losing" is not worth having a million dollars to help your family, you have self-confidence issues.
Sore loser. It doesn't mean anything? You're only as good as your last fight Ben, and you got KTFO in 1 round by a boxing novice. Guy was supposedly a champion and couldn't even last a single round. It's like none of these UFC guys are half as ultimate as they think they are.
Here's why: Fan ignorance of fighting in general. Fan ignorance of what MMA really is. Decades of Dana White/UFC bombast (that no boxer has a chance regardless -- this despite the ever more successful application of striking in MMA). There's more too, but most of it is the desire of the general public to buy into the MMA bombast (that MMA skills make a fighter a superman).
